At Ingenium Aerospace, our products and services feature the latest advancements in the world of motion. From aileron, rudder, flap and slat systems to speed brake actuation, every flight vehicle has an essential suite of control and actuation systems required to operate the aircraft. We are motion control experts in the area of primary and secondary flight control systems, utility actuation, build-to-print and legacy product improvement applications. Our team of engineers has a long-standing history of providing the most advanced available motion control solutions for current and new-to-the-world products.

Primary and Secondary Flight Controls Systems and Utility Actuation

Primary flight control systems manage the primary axis of motion during flight which include the aircraft’s yaw, pitch and roll controls. Secondary flight control systems provide a trimming function to augment aircraft stability and fine tune its aerodynamic performance. Utility actuation comprises all of the electrically augmented moving parts of a vehicle from the doors to the landing gear. Ingenium Aerospace develops motion control for all these critical aircraft systems and individually tailors analog and/or digital solutions with appropriate levels of diagnostics capability, custom certification plans and fault monitoring. We are also available to write DO-178 level A software.

Build-to-Print Applications

If you would like to focus on your core business and have an existing application that is not complementary to your focus, we can build that product to your exact specifications. You can own the design while benefiting from our robust processes and extensive supplier base. As part of this offering, we can provide you with First Article Inspection (FAI) if required and subsequent testing to ensure the development of an identical end product.

Legacy Product Improvement

Customers often need to re-examine existing parts, modify them and correct deficiencies caused by stress, changing requirements, environmental exposure, etc. As part of this process, Ingenium Aerospace is available to evaluate your existing products and provide modifications/upgrades to directly improve their reliability, availability and durability. Our Legacy Product Improvement service is designed to increase field performance and to decrease the product’s overall lifecycle cost.

Analysis and Design Engineering

At Ingenium Aerospace we are second-to-none in analysis and design engineering. Our high level of engineering talent and extensive support tools are coupled with a proprietary, fully tailored and integrated support package. This comprehensive package includes stress analysis, full weight estimate with center of gravity calculation, materials and property list, reliability estimate, Hazard Safety Assessments, dynamic bearing and gear analysis and life calculations and so much more. We also have extensive CAD and engineering software and development tools including Relex, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Unigraphics, UGTeam Center Engineering, MicroCap 9, Matlab Simulink, LabView, Technosoft Motion Control and Ansys, just to name a few.

Product Testing

Ingenium Testing, can readily respond to your military and aerospace land, sea and air vehicle certification testing requirements with a full range of capabilities. Ingenium Testing offers four MIL-STD chambers, Reverberation Chamber, HIRF Chamber, Lightening Strike Test area and can handle complex RTCA/DO-160E/F Section 16 requirements. Ingenium Testing has also become a specialist in testing the latest hybrid vehicles including the Boeing 787 and composite aircrafts.

Production Capabilities

Ingenium Aerospace has temperature and climate controlled space for manufacturing systems, parts, assembly and testing. We have a wide range of capabilities and can build short run for prototypes or a full, extensive production run. We also utilize LEAN manufacturing techniques for ensuring quality processes and products and are flexible in our schedule to meet the most stringent delivery requirements. Plus, at Ingenium we can design and build our own test equipment that can handle extreme temperature ranges and environmental conditions.

Aftermarket Support and FAA Repair Station

Every vehicle manufacturer needs to effectively support their customers and provide repair, warranty provisions, product positioning and inventory support for end products. As a certified FAA repair station, Ingenium Aerospace can fully support you with our comprehensive aftermarket services including quick maintenance turnaround and full part provisioning for commercial aircraft, business jets and Very Light Jets (VLJs). We also have the ability to write ATA 100 Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) upon request.
