Biographies
Darrin Kopala spent 20 years at MPC Products Corporation in Skokie, IL as Vice President, Linear Actuation Systems. Darrin had profit and loss responsibility for a $31 million actuation product area consisting of approximately 56 direct employees and more than 135 unique actuation systems. During his tenure, Darrin had complete responsibility which spanned product conception through production, including the aftermarket support organization for his product area. Under Darrin’s leadership, this organization received numerous awards including: Presidents award-McDonnell Douglas, Excellent Supplier Award-Korean Aerospace and the Pride Award-Boeing.
Dick Walsh spent over 30 years at Hamilton Sundstrand, finishing his career as Chief Engineer of Mechanical Systems. He worked as a Design Engineer at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for 4 years. His career has focused on using analytical skills to solve engineering problems: elastic/plastic beam column analysis, ball screw analysis, critical speed of shafts, and stress/failure/vibration analyses. Dick co-founded Ingenium Technologies in 2000. He provides oversight and direction to the analytical engineers at Ingenium. Dick holds seven patents applicable to aircraft power transmission and actuation systems.
Duane Wingate spent 17 years of increasingly responsible technical positions at Hamilton Sundstrand. When Duane left Hamilton Sundstrand, he had achieved the position of Operations Engineering Manager. His previous titles included Engineering Services Manager (directed a 250 person team), Manager of Air Turbine Engineering, Engineering Manager and Design Engineer. Duane Co-founded Ingenium Technologies in February of 2000. Duane is active in growing the business by introducing new services and forming partnerships.
John Kolosieke spent over 20 years at MPC Products Corporation, where he held the position of Business and Operations Manager of the Linear Actuator Division. While at MPC, John held total operational, strategic steering, P&L and business development responsibilities for all business operations within his business unit., His expertise lies in key account management, staff management, inventory management, material management, strategic budget allocation, planning and production control, regulatory compliance, financial analysis and reorganizing procedures to increase productivity and reduce costs. John was instrumental in increasing after-market sales by 84% in less than three years by implementing highly successful business development initiatives and lean processes in the repair organization.
John Daley has comprehensive experience in senior-level product management and new business development, including full profit / loss responsibility for technical product development, operations management, and product placement through complimentary partnering relationships. He orchestrates new business relationships in diverse markets both domestically and internationally. John plans and conducts sales strategies with senior-level clients, develops integrated designs, development and logistics plans and negotiates product development and long tern manufacturing contracts. While employed by US Wittenstein, John functioned as the Business Unit Manager for Aerospace and Simulation. He managed the Business Development Effort for North and South America, focusing on F-35, Apache, and Super Tucano programs. John spent many years employed by MPC Products, where he functioned as Regional Sales Manager for Control Actuation Systems. There he managed external and internal sales staff for West Coast and East coast regions of the United States. John secured initial business of MPC’s only two “Total Flight Actuation Suite” applications for X-37 and Predator B. John also worked for Kearfott Guidance and Navigation where he functioned as the Subcontracting Program Manager for Advanced Cruise Missile. John was responsible for the delivery and quality of flight computer manufacturing subcontractor. He monitored scheduling, cost and performance issues.
Lori Lay spent 4 years working as the Technical Data Specialist in the Environmental Testing Group at MPC Products Corporation in Skokie, IL. She also worked for navAero, Inc., the leading manufacturer of Electronic Flight Bags for general and commercial aviation. As the Technical Data/FAA Certification Specialist for navAero, she designed and executed a full Qualification Test Program (environmental and EMC testing) for a Diagnostic Storage Unit designed for the Eclipse Aviation Corporation 500 VLJ. She worked closely with the FAA to achieve certification for navAero’s products. She writes qualification/safety of flight test plans, procedures and reports, as well as proposals for Ingenium Aerospace.
